Since beginning his career as an apprentice at Millwall Football Club, Gregor Rioch has dedicated more than three decades to every level of the professional game.
Unlike many advisors, his perspective has been built through experience rather than observation.
His career has progressed through the football pyramid — from professional player to coach, head coach, Academy Manager and Sporting Director — giving him first-hand experience of the challenges, pressures and decisions that shape successful football clubs.
Over the past 35 years, Gregor has worked across player development, recruitment, football operations, academy leadership, governance, organisational strategy and executive decision-making. He has led high-performing departments, managed significant football budgets, overseen structural change and helped shape the long-term direction of professional clubs.
Today, through Rioch Sporting Advisory, he provides confidential, independent advice to football club owners, boards and senior executives.
